Walking on the beach
Posted 5 Jun 2023 on HotelsHappy to return to les Sables d’Olonne after 55 years. The place has grown a lot but the beach is still the same. The location of the hotel was excellent 👍

What I didn’t like: No where to park; there is a very expensive car park nearby, which does not take motorcycles or bicycles. We came on motorcycles and had to park in front of a shop 100 meters away on a pavement.
There was minimal instant coffee and milk in the room.

Would stay again, but would not be my 1st choice

It is centrally located which is nice, but the light from the casino which is directly across from the hotel if you are staying in a premium room, overlooks the entrance and the lights are very bright. The sheer curtains in the room do very little to block out any of the light. Wifi was not always working. If you are here during high season I would recommend staying some place in the middle of the Le Remblai

Nice hotel close to the beach and the old town

Pros: See above.
Cons: Furniture is all right but dated and not all that comfortable. Need for plugs at the head of the bed. Wifi is free but cumbersome and complex.
Location: See above.
Nice clean hotel. Has recently been lightly renovated after it was purchased by Kyriad. Still a bit spartan and some aspects are dated. More improvement in the making. Location between superb beach and old town and harbour is great. Good buffet breakfast.

Spending the night in Les Sables d'Olonne
Posted 21 Oct 2015 on HotelsSpending one night during round trip through Britanny. Hotel is opposite a casino and close to the waterfront, but the parking facilities are problematic. Rooms are well insulated against outside noise. Breakfast is a little better than the average continental breakfast.
