Great location, very calm and green, the property itself is beautiful, staff was very helpful and friendly, restaurant is top notch, the building itself is amazing, unfortunately there is a serious lack of maintenance which is visible every where, the rooms in the tower were very basic, we were upgraded to a suite in the main building which was very nice but still the hotel needs a lot of work all around. Also the pictures online make the hotel look more luxurious than it really is. In my opinion the hotel is a 3 star and not a 4 star. I truly hope the owners will work to improve the property as it could really be amazing.

A great off the beaten path hotel that is very unique. Highly recommend for the location, cost and luxury. Well kept rooms and the food was delicious!

Gated -make sure you read
Posted 22 Oct 2021 on HotelsThis property is gated, so make sure you get code to get into and out of the property. We left in evening to eat and were not given the access code only to find we were locked out of the property .

Charming setting & a vegetarian menu.
Posted 31 Jul 2019 on HotelsThe hotel is pleasantly situated in a small village in a charming valley, which gives it a peaceful setting. The hotel restaurant served inventive and tasty food with a very welcome menu for vegetarians and gluten free diets. The staff were helpful, particularly given our limited French. The stay was marred however by flies in the room, in the restaurant and particularly in the breakfast room. There did not appear to be any attempt made to rid them from the interior of the hotel. It was difficult to tell whether this was a common feature or an unusual event but it was impossible to eat a meal without a fly landing on our food.

Food, wine, and fab setting in a quaint village
Posted 26 Apr 2019 on HotelsBeautiful hotel and grounds in a picturesque village. The old mill is charming and the waterfall is wonderful! Our basic room was remodeled and clean... a little boring for our taste considering the historic nature of the building. It looks like some of the pricier rooms in the main building would have more character... one even has a balcony adjacent to the waterfall. The staff was great and accommodated us for a delicious dinner even though they were completely full.

Lovely hotel
