2 Nighter Personal trip

Posted 9 Aug 2019 on Hotels
A nice clean hotel with friendly staff. Located in a quiet village. The bathroom facilities in the room I was in (No3), was a little bijou and compact, though it did the job. Good wifi connection. Limited on site free parking in a very tight courtyard.

Short stop over

Posted 29 Jun 2019 on Hotels
The staff were welcoming and spoke very good English, tmy room was clean, tidy and modern. After the bar had closed it was very quiet at night so you could happily sleep with the window open. I only stayed for 1 night for business and got there late so wasn't able to eat dinner there. Although I must say every hotel I stayed in on my trip whether it was 3 star or higher the quality of food was fantastic, tres bien France!

Compact and Bijou!

Posted 16 Sep 2018
Nice little hotel - rooms are compact but if you’re just using it as a base to travel around then they are perfect. No kettle or tea and coffee facilities in the room - but decent restaurant downstairs - lovely lunch menu - we didn’t try the breakfast as we were out and about both mornings we were there and there was a fantastic boulangerie just down the road - so go loads of breakfast stuff there instead. Market on a Saturday - highly recommend the cheese man situated up to the right of the crossroads! And the fruit stall right outside the hotel. Sum up the room - small but functional and lovely - well looked after - great few days away.

Pros: French Country Town
Cons: Email Address for Hotel - had a query re stay but not enough French to discuss on telephone an email address would have enabled me to use a Translatio
Nice Country Town lovely hotel very welcoming community. Expedia needs to provide email contact for hotels. We needed to clarify some details about our stay with Hotel but did not have enough French to do this by telephone. A direct email address for the Hotel would have enabled us to use an English French translation programme and communicate with hotel.

Knock before opening the door!

Posted 17 Jun 2017 on Hotels
The receptionist was very friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Only stayed for one night and everything was almost perfect... except for the fact that at 9am, as I was getting out of the shower, the maid opened the door WITHOUT knocking. I still had 2 hours left before check out so I'm not sure why she wouldnt even knock before opening the door. I did not care for that at all. Aside from that incident, it was a good place to stay

No family room available

Posted 18 Jan 2016 on Hotels
The hotel seemed reasonably priced and well located to break our journey from Calais to Brittany. We'd therefore booked a family room - with a double, 2 single beds and a cot - some months before our stay. When we arrived at the hotel (at around 7:30pm), we were told that we were being "upgraded" to two separate rooms as the family room wasn't available. Despite being skeptical, we went up to the rooms, assuming there would be a link-door between the two rooms. There wasn't! They'd given us one double and one twin room - totally unsuitable for a family with 3 young children! We couldn't really leave 3 children under 7 in a room on their own and it seemed the only option would be for my wife and I to sleep in separate rooms. (I would also mention that the rooms were incredibly sparse, which reminded me of an youth hostel!) We complained at reception but they said that there were no alternative rooms as they'd given our family room to someone else. No apology. Eventually we managed to get them to give us a triple room into which they managed to squeeze another single bed. In truth, this was probably a fire hazard as there was hardly any floor space left and the bedroom door wouldn't open fully past the additional bed! But given that it was by now getting late, we didn't have any option but to accept this solution. On the positive side, they charged us for a double room rather than a family room. The 3 bedrooms we saw were also clean enough.
