The hotel was beautiful and the staff friendly, however the pool closed for the season the day before we arrived without notification. This was one of the reasons for us choosing the hotel so it was a big disappointment.

I have only ever tried the bar food, as I find dinner starts a little late (20:30) after a day's driving, but the club sandwhich is just fine, coupled with a glass or 2 of Rioja.
Rooms are very comfortable and generously proportioned. Do make the effort to get a view overlooking the dam if you are spending any time on your room´s balcony.
I find the prices good value for money and the staff are always friendly.

Great hotel, disappointing staff!
Posted 30 Jul 2021 on HotelsWonderful situation, great views and great walks. Very nice Parador and the Reception staff were very good indeed. Less so the dining room staff. At breakfast and dinner they were not at all attentive to guests' needs. If you wanted something then you had to get up and walk to a member of staff to get their attention. At dinner, meals were often delivered to the wrong table. At breakfast, no member of staff came to your table to offer you tea or coffee or a cooked beakfast. They need a lesson in customer service!

What a beautiful place. If you’re coming from Barcelona this is worth the 25 minute drive to feel like you’re in the middle of the country. The setting is wonderful and the rooms with a view are worth the drive.
