Cadavres de moucherons sur le rideau

Posted 6 Aug 2021 on Hotels
The room was full of little flies hanging around the lights, a few of them already dead. When we pulled down the window curtain, we had the unpleasant surprise of discovering a cemetery of squished flies stuck onto it - see pictures. The bathroom also did not smell very good. Definitely not recommended.

Perfect for a business trip in the area. The restaurant by the hotel is amazing. WiFi is slow and unstable. Will do, but just emails (not heavy).

Very good for puy du fou

Posted 8 Aug 2018 on Hotels
We stayed here after 2 days at puy du fou. Only 20 mins drive with lots of parking and a fabulous restaurant next door called civilisations Really friendly staff and a nice bar area. We would definitely return when visiting puy du fou again

Good but no restaurant.

Basic hotel. Clean and comfortable but the biggest drawback is no restaurant so you have to go into town to eat.

Good value accommodation near Puy Du Fou

Posted 14 Oct 2013
Pros: The modern conveniences such as different types of electrical plugs in the bar area, the breakfast was fantastic and the location close to Puy Du Fou
Cons: Size of rooms - with three people in a room it was very tight
Location: Very close to Puy Du Fou but not directly in Les Herbieres so your own car is essential to get into town.
We found this a good place to stay to visit Puy Du Fou. It was only approximately 10mins drive away. The rooms are very small but you can always use the bar/lounge downstairs. We noted other travellers difficulty in finding the hotel - it is in an industrial area just outside Les Herbier. You must type the address into the GPS as "Avenue" rather than "Rue" or you will not be able to find the location

Very comfortable stay

Posted 15 Sep 2013
Cons: Quite difficult to find without sat av.
Location: Ideal for visiting the Puy de Fou as only 20 mins away.
This hotel was very comfortable. The beds and pillows were so good we didn't want to get up in the mornings. The rooms were very clean and had a large corner shower. The staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English although I prefer to test my French. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here again

Handy for Puy du Fou

Posted 10 Sep 2013 on Hotels
Very handy for the Puy du Fou theme park. Used for coach parties and, whereas there is nothing wrong with that for noise levels were zero, we woke late to find the breakfast bar hit by a tornado of departing coach party members and the hotel had run out of some food stuffs, thereby depleting the value of an expensive breakfast.

Great hotel for Puy du Foy

Posted 4 Aug 2013
Pros: Price
Cons: Lack of space in the room
Location: In the country on the edge of a small industrial estate - but not unpleasant and very accessible
Functional hotel close to puy du foy - the reason we chose it in fact. Few facilities (not unexpected for the price) and no safe in the room - we had been told by our insurance company that our insurance would be invalid if we did not use a safe. So we had to find a hiding place in the room! Room was very well priced. Breakfast EUR 9 - so for a family pricey. Go to the hypermarket instead or into les herbiers. We had a room with an extra bed for our 6 year old - unfortunately this means no room to move round the room so suggest you diet before you go.....
