So we went for one night. Although the room and the hotel was clean and it was a peaceful rest, we had paid the price for included breakfast ( buffet) so we paid the extra 17 pound included in the price, when we got down stairs it was literally croissants and tea, other option was for them to make u a sausage sandwich, which we didn't want. As we eat halal meat only. There was no buffet, and no information prior to the stay that due to Covid 19 there wouldnt be a buffet. Although everyone was touching the tea machine to get tea out? If id known the breakfast wasnt a buffet, i would have happily booked something £25 less ended up paying 15 pound for breakfast else where.

Hi, As with all Holiday Inn Express Hotels, breakfast is always included free of charge and is incorporated as part of the room rate. You will have been told on check in that due to the current covid-19 pandemic, breakfast is different to our normal breakfast. We still offer a reasonable breakfast for the rate paid by our guests. We hope to get our normal buffet back soon. However, this still does not include Halal products. Like all other dietry requirements, these can be requested prior to you stay and the hotel will try its best to cater for such needs. The coffee making machine obviously is used by multiple guests, which is why there are facilities for sanitizing hands before and after use and the machine itself kept clean by the strict systems put in place that meet the government recommendations. We look forward to welcoming you again in future , when hopefully our normal systems are back in place.

Last minute

booked at last minute been before. Disappointing breakfast ordered sandwiches due to covid but failed to top up other breakfast items seemed like too much trouble nice clean room

Thank you for reviewing your stay. Breakfast is limited due to covid. However the staff do top up according to demand, unless we run out of some items from time to time. Our breakfast arrangement is continually changing, as and when appropriate, with a view to slowly bring back our normal breakfast buffet. Please stay again in future to enjoy this. For now, however, the safety of all our guests and staff is paramount and we thank you for your understanding. We stayed one night in this hotel. Staff was friendly and nice, but there was no lift for our heavy luggage. Also room was small for a family. But clean and good facilities.

Room was very hot and no airconditioning in the rooms also ni Buffett breakfast but given sausage sandwiches and a very small selection of other bits.... no fruit juise for tge kids and was told they had run out and there was no alternative. Staff were very nice tho.
