Misleading Terrible location. Outdated.

Photos online of this resort are misleading. Paid in full online prior to arriving. Checked out after 1 night pepared to lose our money - thats how disapppinting it was. A good 30 minutes drive to town. Isolated and nothing or any facilities nearby at all. Extremely secluded. On beach but definitely not a swimming beach. Pool average. Rooms need major update. No running hot water. No tv etc. Lucky to fit one person in bathroom at a time. No basin/mirror in bathroom- small basin in room next to kettle. Restaurant misleading same set menu - just really snack food (pizza, spring rolls, fries etc). Definitely not worth the price... much better and more options in town.

Nice hotel, nice view of beach

Posted 10 May 2018
Pros: Exceeded expectation
Cons: Rooms need a major face lift, still feels like a religious retreat centre
Pleasant stay, helpful staff, sercurity was a worry but not concerning, awesome pool area and bar, hard to find, signage and lighting need improving, overal comfortable stay. Rooms still need a facelift as it feels more like a retreat centre as appose to a resort. Peeling paint in some places and windows needs upgrading. Will make an awesome religious retreat centre for large groups, but still needs improvement to become a resort

Not good enough

Posted 7 May 2018
The lady at receptionist was not expecting us. She didn't have our name on the computer and said the actual receptionist would be there tomorrow meaning she was pretty much telling us to stay elsewhere for the night until they could find proof that we had actually paid for our hotel stay. Luckily I had an confirmation email from when I paid online. Aircon was not working in our first room so we went Into another. The sheets we had were a bit dirty it had black spots on it. Our room wasn't cleaned only once during our stay. Breakfast is average. Only nice feature is the pool. We paid for 5 nights there but didnt sleep there for the last two nights because we just didn't feel it. Only some of the staff were nice. Overall we won't be coming back to this hotel. But we wish nothing but blessings to everyone who helped us in a way.

Nice pool area

Posted 21 Apr 2018
Pros: Friendly staff shout out to Andy who was very welcoming. Nice pool,
Cons: Clean sheets would be good and if large family reunion booked maybe block out all bookings.
Location: Nothing nearby.
Arrived and checked in receptionist friendly not a very organised booking system. Gorgeous pool area overlooking the beach. Room very tired, went to bed sheets sandy and had what appeared to be nose blows on sheets - 3 out of four beds booked. Very large family reunion in progress, extremely loud and went to all hours. 2 of our party had 5am airport run so door was left unlocked for an hour for driver to return. Someone came in with a torch during the hour it took for airport drop off. I called out and door was shut. Lights outside room very bright and on all night. Breakfast consisted of couple of bits of toast and a few bits of pineapple. On a positive note the floor tiles were very shiny.

Clean resort

Posted 18 Dec 2017
Our room were comfortable with aircon, bed were so comfortable, the only faults we have was the restaurant, we ate there every day that we stayed there, but each day meals were different, I get that every chef cooks differently, but when then menu is smaller I do expect the consistency of food, eg 1 our of 3 morning we had American short stack pancakes, only 1 day was good pancakes the other 2 days it tasted like it was uncooked and no self raising flour, the other order was the same too pancakes were flat and hard! The chef should be specific in following the menu to deliver what the customer had order. Other then just that the resort is beautiful.

Talofa Atoana, Thank you for staying with us and for the feedback on our services. We are working on this issue with our cooks as we have had others comment on this also. We hope to see you again soon. Best regards The St Therese Retreat and Accommodation.

Bad service

Posted 13 Jul 2017
Stayed for 3 Nights. Not once did our sheets or our towels get changed. Toilet paper was never renews and only given 1 roll to share between 4 Adults, 3 Children. Only good things was the pool and resturant/Bar.

Absolutely Beautiful

Posted 6 May 2017
Pros: Kind staff, restaurant, beds, fans, air conditioning
Cons: The staff needs better training, for example dealing with credit cards and arranging airport transportation.
Location: About 20 minutes east of the International Airport. Apia is another 15 minutes east. The Robert Louis Stevenson Museum is south of Apia.
Operated properly, this could be a 5 star experience, but it suffers from all the things common to Samoa. Poor internet, lots of bugs, and poorly trained staff. Still, the beauty of the site offsets much of the problems, so it is worth staying at. It is about 20 minutes from the airport, has a restaurant with good food, and nice people staffing the site. The beds were good, it had a nice patio with a table and a chair, a fridge, a fan, and air conditioning. The cockroaches and the ants were a pain, but that's the tropics. Lots of rain in parts of the year, mostly at night.
