We stayed here for one night after arriving earlier in Cherbourg. The property was easily found using a sat nav. The owner, Roger, was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable with refreshments available. Having asked prior to our arrival, we had a fantastic 3 course evening meal expertly prepared and presented by his young chef Brenda. Breakfast in the morning was a continental offering with the option of freshly cooked bacon and scrambled eggs. Everything was spot on. We would definitely return if our travels bring us back this way.

Such a wonderful gem hidden in the Normandy countryside! Owner George is delightful and fun, gave us a warm welcome. We felt right at home, actually wish we could live in a place like this. Rustic yet comfortable. Great food. Very calm and charming surroundings. You'll love it! Also great for families with a few chickens roaming around. Don't hesitate, go to La Merveille and enjoy!

Wonderful, quirky b&b, really nice rooms & lovely themed room for kids. Roger and his team went out of their way for us, with tasty home cooked food and overall friendliness. Couldn’t fault a thing 😀

A disappointing stay

La Merveille had a comfortable bed, a shower that sprayed water in all directions and breakfast was not up to my expectations. The pastries were squashed and looked unappetizing and my mug had a large crack in it.

Very difficult to comment when people criticise but insist on remaining anonymous! The pastries are always fresh and we offer a cooked breakfast. The shower could have been easily corrected. It is always best to communicate well and most of our guests do this very well!
