Lazarus Island hotel rooms a the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts

"Room was compact but brilliantly designed and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed and quiet efficient aircon. Great views over Chinatown. Mercure always reliable."

"The king standard room was more spacious than we had expected from a Singapore hotel. We liked the filtered water made available at the sink. Bed was very comfortable and the tv was large although channels were limited and there wasn’t YouTube function. Breakfast had an excellent spread although it would have been better if vegan dishes were labelled (we saw a customer going around asking if the Indian dishes were vegan). The pool was fairly big and well-shaded from tje sun. The check-in staff was unclear on whether our booking was eligible for Changi Rewards points. When we checked in, she informed that it can be done upon checkout. But upon checking out, she said our booking was third party and could not qualify. Even if it’s third party, it was still a spend on the establishment, so we didn’t understand why she first said it’s eligible but later said it’s not. "

"Great location to river view restaurants, shopping mall, Boat Quay, and Chinatown. Would suggest getting the breakfast added to your stay. It has a wide selection and is reasonably priced. We would stay here again!"

"Staff as the greatest asset. Polite, friendly and helpful. Good location and nice pool deck on roof, though it could do with a bit of TLC. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Just need better facilities in room such as a Nespresso machine or similar - would expect in hotel of this class/price. "

"Lovely hotel but a few little niggles at the start of our stay. Room check in took a while and luggage to room delayed. Water filter in room running hot for our first day"
