The views are incredible. I would come again & highly recommend it, however I was unaware that the hotel & entire town are not accessible by car. One must park in the valley below ( Lauterbrunnen) and take a train up to the town. Parking is about 9 Euros a calendar day (so an overnight stay costs 18 Euros) and the train which leaves every 30 min costs 7.50 Euros p/p one way. The hotel is a walk uphill from the train station, but there is a hotel shuttle (another fact we were unaware of ) that is very welcome if you have a lot of luggage.

Great hotel to stay, the breakfast was amazing and the staff was beyond friendly.
But even without that, the Mountain View is enough to stay here, you will wake up with the most amazing views you can think off.

This was like staying at your grandma’s chalet.
PRO’S Clean, functional, basic, and comfy beds
CONS: Out dated, tired looking facility and sad appearance to the internal/external grounds.
They have a wonderful view. Wish they would invest in outdoor furniture, a few furs/blankets and candles to create an inviting space.
As an interior designer of mountain homes, this place could be darling and change the guest experience to a more positive one.

Hello. Thank you for your feedback. We are currently renovating the entire hotel, including investing in new outdoor furniture. From May on, all our Mountain View and Panoramic rooms will be newly refurbished. We are dedicated to constantly improving our guest experience and the hotel will look differently this summer season.

I had a wonderfull stay. The hotel is a few minutes away from the tram that will take you to the top of Männlichen and the view is breathtaking. The view from the hotel itself is wonderfull. Breakfast is good. There is no AC but I dont thibk you need them. We spent. lot of time exploring outside so once we are back, its akready cooled off. Staff are very accomodating. I would definetely stay again here.
