Beautiful heritage building so close to town. I always come here as I don’t have to worry about parking.

Great stay, lovely place, couple quirks
Posted 3 Mar 2024 on HotelsReally nice hotel, great balcony views and spacious suite with multiple rooms. Has a great balcony with excellent views. Couple of quirks to be mindful of;
- Reception closes at 7pm sharp and you could very well get locked out for the night so plan ahead
- 10am checkout no wriggle room in case you’re used to getting an extra hour in the morning
- It’s at the Gorge / West end of town but all the bars and restaurants are on the East side

Posted 28 Feb 2024 on HotelsLovely stay in a beautiful bed. The view over Launceston is lovely. James the host was very welcoming and happy to oblige. Great location with an easy walk to breakfast and into town for dinner. Also nice and close to the walk at Cataract Gorge which is stunning.

Interesting history of the property and plenty of lovely restaurants and cafe's within walking distance

The historical building was formerly a convent. We appreciated the modern bathroom. We did not appreciate the ants that traveled across the floor and walls. The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the cafe a block down the street for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed the view from the balcony at sunset. We enjoyed watching the movie “The light between two oceans” set in Stanley, our next Tasmania destination.

A quiet location
Posted 31 Jan 2024 on HotelsWe were upgraded to a king suite which was very spacious. After a 27-hour journey from London this was much appreciated. The location is quiet and offers ample parking.
Breakfast is not provided but Cuccina Café is only a few minutes walk and offers a great menu. Dynasty Chinese restaurant is also a short walk and has a wide choice.
