The Golden Gate has been around since 1906 and is a genuine landmark. We enjoy our stays there with the Fremont Street Experience just steps away from our hotel. The only thing I don't enjoy is hearing the casino music from some of the rooms on the 2nd floor. I was in room 225, and could clearly hear the music at 3am when trying to sleep. I would suggest a higher floor if you're a light sleeper. Besides the music, there aren't any real "deal breakers" at the level of comfort for the price. I would definitely recommend the Golden Gate for your next stay, especially if you enjoy the stadium pools at Circa. If you stay at the Golden Gate, you get free entry into Stadium Swim at Circa!

Place is very run down, outdated, and smelly. Hopefully they can use that circa money to renovate soon because the location is amazing. Very loud from the stage directly outside but thats what you're here for.

Shower didn't work the water barely came out when it did it was either scorching hot or freezing. Nothing in-between. Beds were horrible the whole room was dingy and just gross. It was just overall bad. I won't ever stay in this hotel again.

do NOT stay on the second floor unless you want to hear the techno blare coming from the casino all night long. third floor or above was fine tho. resort fees are a rip-off
