The property is well maintained. Out issues was that there was an overuse of bleach as a cleaning product in the room and the order was overpowering. As we checked in very late in the evening, we felt there wasn't much we could do about it. I slept the night with a face mask as the fume were hurting my nose and throat. We let the management know if the morning as we checked out and they said that they use bleach to make sure the room is well sanitized. I can appreciate that, however, even hospitals don't use that much bleach. Other than that, it was a nice, older facility that is well maintained.

A nice motel on the Lake. I was in a Lake view room which was definitely worth the extra amount for the view.
Very strong cleaning smell at check in - I needed to leave windows open and fan on to clear the smell.
It was a bit noisy with a large family group with children that took over the back lawn. Children started yelling while playing outside at 8:00 am and adults were drinking outside until 11 pm, even though quiet hours were posted as 10 pm.
Would have been helpful to have a channel guide for the tv in the toom.

Location was great … registering was a bit of a hassle them wanting all kinds of ID, verification… etc. … but all in all this place is probably the better of the few motels available in Lakeport.
I think they’re worried about credit card fraud etc.
