Lovely room, especially the bathroom with the tub and huge shower. Excited the little patio too.

Nice hotel just off the highway. Not near much but in the woods. Helpful staff. Not much in terms of food/drink options. Offered breakfast was okay but not great. Comfortable room with huge shower.

If you had mentioned something about the breakfast during your stay we would have tried to provide a solution. We have publicized as much as we can that we ARE in a forest setting. We are NOT in a city. We are 7-8 miles from Shasta Lake City and 15-17 miles from Redding.Nearest restaurants are 5 to 8 miles away going south on I-5. We share this on every website we are listed. Dear Future guests - if you are looking for a city setting like this guest - then we are NOT the right fit for you. Regards,

Absolutely beautiful setting, rooms are meticulously set out for comfort. Owner was a friendly, beds were very comfortable, shower was huge, breakfast was delicious and hot. Would definitely stay again!

The rooms are small but very clean. Things like the towels and some of the furniture is worn. But, again rooms are immaculate. Cuts breakfast menu to fill out the night before and can be served in your room or in the dining area. Beautiful surroundings. In the woods. The grounds are winter worn but someone was working on it during the day.

Dear Dlanne, We are sorry that you found our rooms small. We do our best to show the rooms in our pictures from all angles and share their square footage also, on Expedia. You had originally booked the Goldfinch room for 129 per night which is the "smallest" room amongst all our rooms. We provided you a free upgrade at NO extra cost to you to Jack Rabbit (pet friendly) which is bigger. When you mentioned one of your guests has pet allergies, we again did a complimentary change for you to a non pet friendly room - Robin - at NO extra cost to you, with your approval. This room was priced at 149 for the night. Apologies that towels were looking worn out - we will work on improving that. Dear Future Guests - we are in a forest, surrounded by trees which means that no matter how well we clean our grounds, natures gifts will keep on coming when the leaves/ pinecones fall on the ground. If you are looking for immaculate, pristine and super clean gardens then we may not be the right place for you!We look forward to hosting you! Regards,

The room was warm and welcoming on a cold and rainy night. Everything was great and then they brought our breakfast to the room in the morning. Everyone was kind and helpful. We will definitely be returning for a longer visit sometime.
