The facilities of the property need some renovations and upgrades. For examples: 1) The toilets were running 2) The elevator was not functioning On the overall customer service front, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is off the main shopping area on South St, probably not a bad thing as traffic can be hectic on that road. Free breakfast is good. It is a bit far from Purdue. There are not that many places to eat nearby.

Unfortunately, they had little housekeeping help on the Saturday afternoon we checked in. We had to wait an hour to get a room ready for us. That is beyond the normal 300pm check in time. We arrived at 3:30 pm. Bathtub accessories were broken off the shower wall and just sitting on the side. The hotel was okay, but I think they need more routine simple maintenance and more help. Though, I understand employees are hard to come by in this economic climate.

I had a room that had not been updated yet, so there was a lot of little things that just weren’t right. I saw the end of my bed. It tilted and then slam down on the floor when I stood up. The chair at the desk was all peeling. There was a humidity problem at the pool so they had all these fans running that you could hardly hear anyone talk.

The room size was adequate, but the furnishings are starting to show their age. The in room dishwasher leaked and even though we reported it twice, it was never fixed. Housekeeping was supposed to clean the room every other day, but we needed to go out into the hall at 4:30 pm to ask the housekeeper to clean our room, when we had requested it to be done in the morning. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of proteins, fruit, bread, and drinks. We checked out a few days early because of the shortcomings, and the GM apologized and offered us free nights at a later date, which we appreciated.
