The fee was exorbitant for Purdue’s graduation weekend and the property was substandard. The room layout was very awkward, for instance the tv blocked the bedroom entrance and the toilet is right up against the paper roll holder on the wall. It’s hard to explain in words, which is why I took pictures and would be happy to share them.

Good - we arrived early and they allowed us to checkin early. Bad - early checkin resulted in a downgraded room, no problem but they said they couldn't lower price because we'd reserved with Expedia - even though we hadn't paid yet. Bad - TV in room didn't work until maintenance came to fix it. Bad - burnt out light bulb in room. Bad - extremely low wattage light bulbs in room. Had to use flashlight on cell phone to read stove/coffee maker instructions. Bad - Central AC unit was immediately adjacent to bed. Every time it turned on it sounded like a truck driving through the room. Bad - VERY noisy, both doors slamming and people upstairs. Bad - coffee maker didn't work. Couldn't read instructions to make sure I was using it correctly until I used my cell phone flashlight (see above). When the building says "Hilton" on the sign I expect more. I won't ever be back to a Homewood suites and doubt I'll ever return to a Hilton owned property. We stay in hotels all across the country regularly from 1 star to 5 star. What does it say that any motel 6 in the country would far exceed this hotel. I explained to the front desk clerk that we were leaving to go get breakfast because, after our experience, we simply didn't trust that we could eat without getting sick. Do yourself a favor. Stay so where else.

I paid via Expedia but I was charged two additional times at the front desk. These additional charges were eventually reversed by the morning desk attendant. Also, Expedia messed up my arrival date.

This place was ridiculously LOUD! From the squeak in the couch, the creak in the floors, the walking back-n-forth of upstairs and downstairs neighbors, door slams, buzzing of the bathroom light AND the "heater" kicking on - I say heater loosely because at 72 degrees, it felt like the air conditioner, while 80 is a basic temperature of heat. I was miserable.
