DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is a dump. Our room was old, the lights flickered when you flushed the toilet, the bed sunk in. No wonder its for sale. It looks like a child made it. The paint was peeling, and the carpet was pulled up and patchy. Beyond that their is no free airport shuttle they charge $10 each way. The kitchen is open 7 am to 10 pm it says, no theres no kitchen. If yoh want food you have to leave and use one of the only taxi drivers that is $10 each way. When we arrived the woman was a sweetheart, carried our bags and aided us to our rooms. We were told we could do a sunset cruise that would start at 5 and go til sunset that was $30/person and it was maybe 30 minutes and WAY overpriced. The only reason i didnt care is because Jimmer was an absolute sweetheart. He made this stay better. Management keep him, he is a gift to you guys. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and very kind. We awoke late in the night to the dogs barking non-stop, so much for sleep. The bugs were horrendous. We woke up in the morning. AND NO ONE WAS THERE. THEY TOOK THE BOAT AND WE WERE ALONE ON THE ISLAND. For breakfast the woman in the common room (that was dingy) looked at us picked up her belongings said nothing and walked in the back. Turns out she was the worker...didnt help us with breakfast and hid in the back. She never spoke to us. When i confronted her about the charges she argued with me (shuttle) didnt resolve the issue and didnt help us load the boat

Lindsay,While we appreciate the fact that you took the time out to leave us such as detail review we do need to correct some of the comments made due to them not being factual. Firstly, we are sorry if you felt that the condition of your cabana was less that ideal. If you had an issue with the Cabana you could have informed that concierge who would have dealt with the issues ASAP. As you were told in your welcome message from the resort when you booked on April 17th at 11:12am, we do not offer free to shuttle to the airport and we can arrange a shuttle to pick you up for a fee of 10USD for up to 2 persons. And we do apologize if you were to able to understand the difference between having a kitchen onsite and having a restaurant onsite, the sign that you read was for our Main house that is opened from 7am to 10pm daily. We have advertised on Expedia and everywhere that we do not have a restaurant onsite so for food you can get off-site. They are restaurants in the area that you can walk to as well as take a shuttle to so the choice was yours as to what you wanted to do. At no point did anyone force you to take a taxi, it was your decision. Your comment about no one being at the resort when you woke up is not factual. Our boat is our shuttle transport across the river so if the boat is not across at the resort at any time that clearly means we are transporting guests over! At no point were you ever alone, we have a number of staff onsite and you were not the only guests at the resort Lindsay!With that said we appreciate the time you took to leave us a review even though it is not factual. When we signed up for this location, it said there was a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport...the listing has since changed to say there is a fee. Nothing had been updated since the 1970s. The carpet was so filthy we wouldn't take off our shoes. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet did not adequately flush. When we arrived they told us to make our selves at home and then check in. There was no one to check in with-we waited over 20 minutes. There was only one plastic chair to sit in, so our only choice was to sit on the beds--that were really just mattresses on cots. Don't waste your time or money here. There are lots of locally owned bnbs in Belize with better accomondations. This place was owned by Texans who clearly didn't care about it. The staff did what they could, but clearly they were understaffed and underpaid. We couldn't wait to leave.

Jeanne, we deeply regret that you encountered challenges during your recent experience with us. It is indeed unfortunate that we were unable to meet your expectations and deliver a flawless service. We genuinely value your patronage. With that said I would like to clarify a few of the comments that you made. Prior to your stay with us we reached out to you via expedia and informed you that effective April 1st, 2024 there is a fee attached to all pick-up’s and drop-off’s. Your reservation was made on May 10th, 2024 which was over one month since we started offering the shuttle service for a fee. Also of note you wanted to be picked up from Belize City, which we clearly stated to you the cost for this was 30USD for 1 or 2 persons. At no point did we communicate with you that we would be offering you a free shuttle run. After checkout your cabana was thoroughly inspected due to the claims that you made and none of your comments could be verified. I will attach video proof. Each of our cabanas consists of two relaxing chairs on the balcony as well as a table and desk inside of the unit itself. If you needed another chair for your cabana (inside the room) you could have requested one but you did no such thing. At no point did you wait on for over 20 minutes, you were duly informed that upon your arrival we were having shift changes and that someone will be with you momentarily to check you in and as stated our concierge was with you less than 3 minutes after that was told to you. Please be assured that your feedback is invaluable to us, as it guides our continuous efforts to improve and exceed your expectations. Again, we appreciate your time and wish you all the best in your future travels.

Super friendly staff- Room could stand being more clean and in better working condition. AC barely kept up staying cold during the day Kictchenette on the dirty side as was the bathroom Very rustic - one may call it

This place is a relaxing quiet little gem along the Belize River. The evening river cruise was awesome and the staff were so nice and helpful. The property is gorgeous, is a great space to disconnect from the world and connect with nature.

Such a great place!! Staff were so nice and helpful. Taking the boat across the river was so fun!!! The river tour @ 5pm is a must!!!! Nice ac in the hotel, lots of stuff to do and everything was very well kept! Will be back and definitely recommend!
