I didn't have many problems with the property. Convenient location, good breakfast at terrace with nice view of the bay. No kettle in the room, TV didn't work but that didn't bother us.
The problem is the area, 04:30 am every morning nearby mosque blasts morning prayers from loudspeaker. In the evenings pubs around blast loud music. It's hard to get rest here but I reckon same problem with all accomodations in this area. Tourism board needs to fix the issue

Sewage smell when you take shower
We found dead cockroach in the room. Loud prayer noise from the near by mosque around 4 -5 AM. I won't stay again in this hotel. It is a 2 star hotel, not a 3 star hotel.

Great location, easy walk to harbour seafood market and shops. Staff were really nice and helpful. Would stay there again for sure.

There is a live music club right next to the hotel and music was going till midnight every night, I had ear plugs and was playing white noise fan on YouTube all night to block the noises but the music was just too loud. Also, the sliding door were not closing and there was an open gap of few centimeters, we asked for a different room which was right underneath the original, the following 2 nights we had to also listen to hammers hitting the wall as they were fixing the original room

The hotel is basic and clean. Walking distance to the harbour, the street with the seafood stalls at Jalan Kerapu and travel agents and more food places at Jalan Soekarno Hatta.
They provide liquid soap out of a dispenser but I would recommend that you bring your own shower gel/shampoo to use if you are particular. If you just came back from a boat trip and need to rinse/wash some swimwear and clothes, they have a clothes line in the shower and a drying rack out on the verandah.
My stay came with a simple buffet breakfast. Nothing fancy but enough to sustain you for the morning.
Just be aware that there is a mosque in the vicinity and it can be loud. There is also a nightspot nearby with a very loud band at night.

Komodo Lodge is conveniently located in the center of town and close to the airport. Very walkable to the harbor. Staff is very friendly. The one negative is that some of the bathrooms need to be updated or really scrubbed well.

Good value
Posted 30 Jun 2023 on HotelsGreat location and only stayed a couple of nights. Room basic but very fair for the cost. Hotels own bar Karaoke was a bit of a problem one night but next eve when started again spoke to reception staff who confirmed would be turned down and it was which was appreciated. Very good for the price of the hotel.
