I should have read the description more carefully. I’ve never stayed in a bed and breakfast before. Gaylene was lovely and very welcoming. But having a common room was unexpected for me. I wanted to watch a little tv but wasn’t comfortable going downstairs to the “living room” and there’s no tv in the rooms. But still a lovely place.

The Cuchara River Bed and Breakfast is one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. Our room was super cozy, the bed was great, and the small balcony overlooking the river was the perfect spot for morning coffee. The innkeeper is charming and loves meeting her guests. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful sanctuary where you can escape the stresses of life, this is the place for you!

I can't imagine a more gorgeous place, with a great friendly hostess and a peaceful serene atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Also, Riley is awesome.

We really liked how the river flows behind the property. It was a bit cold so we didn't spend too much time outside, but sitting by the river in the summer would be great. Breakfast was delicious and I was quite impressed by the array of hot sauces provided. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in this area of Colorado again!

Wonderful serene property right on the Cuchara River. Walking distance to shopping and dining. Lacey’s is a short drive to more options.
Breakfast was great and Gaylene is a wonderful hostess.
