No electricity in the room. Owner knew about this response was poor so no money was paid

Sir, We did everything we could for you but you rejected everything altogether, telling us that you were going to write bad comments on the internet. We indeed had an electrical problem in the hotel which affected the kitchen, the electrician had come in the afternoon, we did not know that the room you had been affected. We offered you another room which you firmly refused on the pretext that you did not want to move your dog. We have indeed offered you the price of the room as well as the breakfasts which you have also refused. You should rather congratulate us for everything we have tried to do to satisfy you and give us a score of 10, because electrical or other problems can happen anywhere, even in a 5 star or relay and castles and even at home. ...

Very impressed with this hotel, which lives up to its name. Good swimming pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Overall very good.
Posted 21 May 2022 on HotelsCharming old style French hotel. Room was quite small and old but very comfortable. It had one of the best air conditioning units we have had so far in France so a good sleep despite being very hot outside. The evening meal was very nicely presented and tasty, if not very much of it. It left you wanting more! Overall very good, La Roche-Posay was only a few minutes on foot with plenty of choice of bars and restaurants.

Posted 4 Aug 2018 on HotelsReally nice location with lots of quality attention to detail - local biscuits, bath robes and slippers, nice toiletries etc. Nice gardens, terraces, pool and places to sit. Inside there were well appointed lounges with nice pieces of period furniture. The hotel directory in the room was very detailed and told the history of this interesting hotel. Easy car parking etc etc. Only a couple of negatives - too many kitchen items in the room which meant that the electric kettle and the microwave were at a dangerously high level. Also dangerous was the shower water temperature which ran cold and extremely hot! We would however be happy to return.

Posted 26 Jun 2017 on HotelsWhat a beautiful village this is. Came across it while looking for a stop-off point between Spain and the Eurotunnel. The hotel is small, attractive and in a beautiful setting within but above the village. Free parking, a swimming pool and garden grounds with picnic tables, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the sunset. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and have created a very pleasant ambience about the place. Continental Breakfast was plentiful and reasonably priced and the room was a good size with ensuite and nicely presented toiletries. The presentation pack of biscuits with the tea/coffee making facilities was a nice touch. Would definitely use again. Excellent for the price.
