We had a lovely time in Fuencaliente, the Pensión is clean, well equipped and light and the area is quiet. Owner is very friendly . There’s lots to do especially if you like walking and amazing scenery. Good restaurants in town or you can do simple cooking in the appartment . A slightly more comfortable mattress and we would give it top marks.

Hi Sarah, many thanks for your opinion, I'm very glad knowing you had a good and relaxing time here and you liked the pension.
I just have a silly question: I'm used to travel and I must say, usually matress are horrible, even in places with more stars than mine. All my matress are pretty new, made in high density foam and ortopedic. I'm a professional since many years and I know how important is the matress in a hotel room.
Probably the matress you have at home is better, but before to criticize mine, perhaps you should travel a bit more!

A gentle way of life
Posted 20 Nov 2016 on HotelsFuencaliente is an ideal base for walking. Close to the volcanoes that last erupted in 1971. Good bus links back to the capital or further north.
