"The entire place was spotless, floors gleaming. The bed sheets were crisp and all the surrounding windows created an amazing and very private view. Great wifi and amazing hot showers. The breakfasts at Geckos were hearty and delicious, such a warm and welcoming space and Charlie's homemade jam, juices, hot sauce, and mojitos were the best! We loved it so much we booked a cooking class with Scott Alan. It was so much fun and is definitely one of the highlights of our time here in Costa Rica. The location was good to, we walked to the Fortuna Waterfall and we were close to coffee/ chocolate tours, and the free passes to the hanging bridges was such a great added value. The only thing that could be better is the cookware, but then there's so many great places to eat out at!"

"We enjoyed our time here. It’s a beautifully kept property with a great view of tropical plants and many birds from the weather protected porch. Most of our stay was very quiet- because nobody was in the adjoining units. We did hear one neighbor’s conversation one night in the next unit when that was occupied. We heard 14 different (verified by app) bird songs in ten minutes one morning. Staff was helpful. The room was nicely equipped and clean. The bed could be softer but we still slept OK. The jacuzzi worked well and the shower had plenty of hot water. Issues: the listing on hotels.com said that laundry facilities were available. Two different employees confirmed that they aren’t. Also, the in-room coffee maker had a dead moth in the water tank and didn’t work well before or after it was rinsed out. Out of clean clothes, we were directed to drive to a local laundry service. That cost us a whopping $22 USD for one grocery bag full of clothes (about 9 pounds) - laundry services aren’t cheap around there. Hotels.com made things right, to their credit. Overall, still a nice place to stay in a nice natural setting. We would happily stay here again. "

"I appreciate the staff holding our reservations as we experienced flight delays due to inclement weather. Security checked us in after hours very quickly and had keys ready to escort us to our rooms. Very clean, really good door seals to keep humidity out and efficient AC. THANK YOU!"
