The reception staff were very helpful. We had several ‘challenges’- the heater in the bathroom only stayed on for 1 minute, the hairdrier did not work, the room was very clean when we arrived but daily room service was poor- only made the bed and changed the towels. The cups were not changed and the floor was not cleaned (we stayed for 4 nights. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very poor value for €9.
We were happy with the location because we enjoy walking so walked into the town to eat- the walk around the lake would be lovely in the daylight!

Good stay....for the price
Posted 3 Feb 2019 on HotelsLa Ferte Bernard is a small quiet town. For the price, it was a good stay. The on-prem restaurant came in handy

Lovely stopover
Posted 13 Aug 2018
Pros: Simple, uncomplicated booking and reception arrangements. Comfortable room, good breakfast, excellent staff. All at a reasonable price.
Cons: Bathroom heater somewhat ancient.
English channel(s), eg BBC News, on TV.
Location: Ferté Bernard is a pleasant town in very nice countryside.
We wanted a simple overnight staging-post for our return from France. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly. Easy to get to, good facilities, excellent staff and a quick get-away on Sunday morning.
Many thanks!

Pros: It's location en route toCaen.
Cons: Most things
Location: Not relevant
The total number of staff was 2.
The evening meal was awful. We have been staying in C a panicle hotels for 30 years
But this was the worst ever.

I'm familiar with this place, so no surprises. I had specified ground floor room if possible (I'm old and infirm), but was given 1st floor room key on arrival. I asked for ground floor and the change was made - but it was annoying, when the booking form offers to meet preferences. Otherwise, all OK.

Okay Stay
Posted 6 Jun 2017 on HotelsWe stayed here mid point on a road trip west. The hotel is very basic. Two single beds with firm mattresses. One extra pillow. Pump soap dispenser for sink and shower. Two towels. Located in an industrial area. Quiet (except for a noisy guest at 4am). Friendly staff.
Our real disappointment was the restaurant - dinner was undercooked fish - breakfast was okay, but not the selection we expected for the price and after reading previous reviews.
Overall it was okay. Price was good. But think we'll try somewhere else for the trip home.

Interesting place to visit
Posted 30 Aug 2016 on HotelsReturn visit to Louth's twin town. Took the interesting "train" tour around the historic town and leisure area. Loved the umbrella walk.
