"Beautiful surroundings "

"We loved staying at Chachagua and would highly recommend it to anyone considering. The property is sprawling, with so much available onsite to enjoy. We took advantage of the coffee and chocolate tour, the cooking class, and the night tour on property. All were excellent. Additionally, Chachagua’s location is perfect for seeing Costa Rican wildlife. In less than 48 hours, we saw nearly everything we had only hoped we would see. The staff are friendly, the onsite guides are amazingly knowledgeable, and the quality of the hot springs are really nice. We also booked tours through the hotel that were in La Fortuna, ~30 minute drive. Those were also well coordinated and well communicated. We can’t say enough good things about our stay! "

"We loved our stay at these beautiful villas. The location is amazing because the property is in a quiet fruit orchard away from the busy main town. The views out the windows are spectacular in every direction. It is a gated area, so our family of four felt very safe. Inside, the villa was perfectly clean and had everything we needed, including plenty of towels and bathroom supplies. The kitchen was also great, with lots of coffee, salt, sugar, an amazing huge fridge freezer with an icemaker, and lots of tools for cooking. The air conditioning worked very well, keeping us cool and comfortable. We especially enjoyed having our own private pool right in front of the villa. Our host was wonderful and always replied very quickly with clear messages. We had a very relaxing stay and highly recommend this property to others."

"It was alright but nothing close by and boring, and only beans and rice for breakfast. Def not ideal unless you just wanna sit in the room "

"Clean rooms and friendly staff. La Fortuna is about a 30 min drive. The friendly (Giovanni and Louis) make the drive worth it. We were able to spot sloth from the facility (guess we were lucky). I would definitely recommend it if you are on a budget. "

"The hotel itself is pretty good. Room was clean and organized but, upon arrival only a lady which you can tell is the housekeeper gave us our rooms. I rented 2! On reception there was nobody for a long time. I wanted to ask about the tours. The man at the reception that showed up after said he had not clue about the tours. The shower got flooded, couple of times I had to shower with cold water because the hot water was gone. Poor information. At night there I nobody at reception so if anything happens you are on your own. Location suck! Poor food choices and transportation. Most of the people rented cars which I was not comfortable doing. 2 nights in and I left to another hotel and owner refused to give any money back. I wouldn’t recommend it. "

"Very nice place, great owner. Close (25 minutes drive) to La Fortuna. Quite and close to wildlife and beautiful river. Great if you prefer to stay a little farther away from the tourist center. "

"Absolutely stunning place. As a photographer, it was hard to get through my head that a place like this can exist, with so much wildlife and scenery, without being staged. It was real and natural. Crossing the field to the restaurant, I was focused on a Parakeet up in the tree, then two Scarlet Macaws flew overhead and a Ringed Kingfisher showed up with a fish, just outside of the restaurant’s balcony! Can’t forget about the Howler Monkey that showed up also! The food was amazing, farm to table. Each morning we saw workers bringing up fresh pineapple and plantains from their fields. The staff was amazing!! Sorry we were almost late to dinner every night 😂 Hope to be back soon!"
