Located near the train station and near to avanti mall. Further away is the aeon mall. Hotel is old-fashioned but still in good condition. Room size is small but bigger than those new hotels in tokyo. Enough room for us to leave our two big luggages open during our stay.

Proximity to Kyoto station yet quiet environment. Lots of highly recommended restaurants within walking distance. Hotel is clean and spacious. Staff are friendly. Check in was fuss free.

Very nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff.

Pros: Clean rooms, helpful staff, great location.
Cons: Pillows were a little flat, but front desk staff brought extras up to our room within minutes of us requesting them.
Location: Great location near the train station, but not too close that the noise would be a factor. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby.
We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is very nice, about a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station. Numerous restaurants and stores nearby. Our room was quite a bit larger than our previous hotel in Tokyo. Front desk staff was very helpful, and even let us borrow two umbrellas for a couple days at no charge. The location was great, very near the bus and train station, and still within walking distance of a number of attractions and downtown area. We absolutely would stay here again, and I highly recommend this hotel.

One of the best choices if you just arrive Kansai Airport and decide to go to Kyoto station and stay a night nearby the station. Just take the airport shuttle bus (rimujimu bus) and arrived almost right next to the hotel (1 block away only) Quiet place and the room is clean and large. And the price is good as well In-room Wifi signal is a bit let down though. Signal strength can be improved But they provide a LAN cable for your notebook which is much stable and faster. I traveled by myself but my room is a double room which found it a bit waste. But as each bed has only 1 pillow, I could have 2 pillows during this stay. Would say if there are 2 or more pillows per bed, it will be much better

This hotel has a excellent location, very close to JR station. Hotel room is fairly big comparing to other Japanese hotels. The front desk staff are very helpful. They watch the luggage for you after you check out in the morning, so that you can spend the whole day to explore more before leaving the city.

Stayed for 2 nights. Woke up with red marks around my neck. I had 11 bite marks. Took pillows down to reception and showed my bite marks. The front desk was apologetic about this and took the pillows from me. I didnt want replacement pillows for the 2nd night since the pillow were not comfortable anyway. I ask to speak to the manager and they said he was busy will contact me. But that didn't happen. The next day when i checked out, the duty manager was still busy and refused to come to the front desk. The same staff that saw the bite marks the day before now claimed that it wasn't bite marks but that I had eczema around my neck. For the record, I have never ever suffered from eczema ever. That was not his reaction the previous day. I confronted him and said that he knew well it was not eczema and he was very defensive and insisted it was and then went on about how the pillow was health pillow and nonsense. When i said i took photos of my bite marks and showed it to him, he became nervous and wanted to clarify what i would do with the photos. I was not angry or anything before my check out. I was 2 weeks into my 3 weeks holiday and was in a very good mood and just wanted a word with the manager to clarify what had happened but the responses I got on checkout frustrated me. Since the duty manager would not see me i left my email address with them and they said they will write to me. It has been 3 weeks and still nothing.

Chose this place because it was close to Kyoto station. In that regard it was perfect. Staff was very friendly but this place is old. They literally give you a key to your room! Also the room was a non smoking room but it def didn't smell like that. With a toddler this wasn't ideal but we were only therefor one night. Overall great convenient location and lovely staff. The facilities are just lacking.
