We booked Glanz Kei on a last day/minute whim as we already had booked longer term accomodation in Osaka, but had done a day trip in Kyoto and wanted to stay an extra night in Kyoto to do a few more things rather than catch the train back. We were very impressed by the accomodation, so much so that we said we would make a note of this one to book on our next trip to Kyoto. We only stayed one night but it would have been comfortable for a much longer stay. The apartments were already very well fitted out but they also had a host of cooking and creature comforts/accessories available to loan in the lobby from toasters to kids toys. For a small apart-hotel, it certainly provided a lot for a very reasonable price and was a short ten minute walk from the Kyoto station. It was also right next to a large mall, however we didn't utilise it on this occasion.
