This was perfect for our short stay in Kyoto. Room service was excellent, the rooms are a little small but it seems to be the case in Japan :) we both loved the thoughtfulness and care for all the amenities and little touches in the room and the staff were wonderful and really helpful. Having laundry in the hotel was useful although the dryer is not too strong so you may need to run multiple rounds. This place was also close to the city centre and Kyoto station despite being in a quieter neighborhood.

Decent room size, the staff was pleasant and the bed was comfortable.
This hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station. The room was very comfortable and larger than most single rooms in Japan. Breakfast was excellent and had a lot to choose from. Staff were friendly. There is also a laundry on the ground floor which was very convenient.
Very comfortable long stay with Anteroom. Hotel is near Kyoto station, difficult to lose your way as you can see Kyoto tower when you head out, go straight, 10+ mins walk.
I used the bullet train to visit friends in Hakata, Hiroshima, Okayama, Amanohashidate & Kanazawa. I also used the Kyoto bus and local trains to several museums and attended baking and baking classes. I enjoy the morning river walks to 4jo.
Cleaning service is perfect, more than usual especially when I forget Dnd. Love the bath salt self service, quiet neighborhood, little bakery nearby and energetic young staff
Thank you
FYI the breakfast was not free however it was inexpensive and the food was good. I highly recommend the hotel. It's in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to plenty of eateries. It has a relaxed hipster vibe and a lovely bar. Plus the room was gorgeous!

Excellent facilities, short walk from local subway stations and Kyoto station. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Staff very helpful. Would recommend a stay.
The lobby of the hotel is very artsy. Basic amenities are available such as toothbrush and toothpaste, razor, cotton swabs, pajama shirt, and my favorite, bath salt with various aromatic oils. They also give you two water bottles daily which ia nice.
The sink of our bathroom didn't drain well but they fixed it right away. The shower head doean't want to stay in place. Facility does seem old and the heater was dusty.
But overall it was comfortable staying here. About 6min walk to Karasuma line and 15min walk to Kyoto Station which wasn't bad. You can even walk to Fushimi Inari area (~25min walk) if you feel like.
There is a small bar right across of the hotel and a ramen shop that seems to have a line most of the time. A cute bakery on the corner, Lawson is right there too. A tattoo friendly sento is 1 min walk as well, where all the locals seem to go. You can get the ticket to the bathhouse at the lobby and they will also lend you the bath kit as well.
Had a great stay, very easy to get to places from there. Loved the free bike rental as well as all the amenities.

This was a great hotel and the staff were great. The only negative is that it is a 15 minute walk in rougher sidewalks to the station. But other than that it was super clean, the staff were great and the breakfast was amazing.
The room was big and even had a sofa. Also appreciated the seperate toilet and spacious bathroom. But what really stood out for me are the staff. Every single staff I encountered were super nice and helpful. I felt welcomed and it made my stay feel like home away from home.

We loved our stay in Hotel Anteroom Kyoto for many reasons. It is very close to a station, which makes it convenient for travel, and there is a konbini and neighborhood grocery store very closeby as well. The hotel itself has a very cool, modern feel. The room was spacious and beautiful, and the amenities were also very generous. When we left the "Do Not Disturb" sign on, staff kindly left a bag of new towels, water, and other useful items at the door. I'd highly recommend staying here!
Really nice hotel with a lot of style and charm. Rooms are a bit on the older side but pretty big for Japan. It is a bit far from the attractions though. Great breakfast that’s worth the price!
