The room was spotless! The staff were very nice and helpful, great location just a 10-min walk from Nishiki Market. The hotel serves coffee and has a hydration all day long. Breakfast was also good. Highly recommend!

Really enjoy my stay. Room was clean. Always staff member at front desk incase need assistance. No machine to check in or out instead actual human, I'm old school so truly appreciate that. Outstanding breakfast available for a fair price. There is laundry machine, unfortunately only one washer and one dryer. Overall worth the stay. Aloha!

I traveled solo. Stayed at the Oakie the entire time I was in Kyoto. Love the location. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet rooms. I only criticism was the breakfast. Very standard. You’re not really meeting a Japanese high standard. I’m sure it’s fine for most. I was just spoiled with all the other fabulous restaurants and places to eat in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at Oakwood. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the rooms were large for Japanese hotel standards and were very clean. The hotel is conveniently located, but in a quieter area, so you don’t hear a lot of noise. We would happily stay here again!
