Banja house was an experience of a lifetime.
Do not hesitate and do take the home cooked food option!

If only the toilet can be easily access from the living room/bed room, I will give 10/10.

古き良き 昔の日本人の生活が味わえます

囲炉裏もあり
火の暖かみを感じながら
そこで地の野菜や肉を
自分達で焼いて
食事も楽しめました。
古民家なので
快適さはホテルとは
見劣りしてしまいますが、
本質的な幸せを
感じられる宿です。
この辺が
評価の難しいところでしたが、
そう言った生活を楽しめる人にとっては
それも味、ご馳走となります。
トイレが外にあり
11月中旬の京北では
夜厳しかったので
その点だけ参考まで
設備欄を4点にさせてもらいました。
が、古き良き日本人の生活
あまり便利に近代化せず
残して欲しい宿です。
オーナー夫婦もとても温かく
親切にご対応していただけました。
一軒貸切なので、
また暖かい季節に
大勢で行っても楽しいかな？
と感じられました。

A personal experience of rural Japan
Posted 25 Sep 2017If you want to get a glimpse of rural life in Japan, this place is hard to beat! Beautiful old home and a wonderful host/hostess. Sitting around the fire drinking tea was a highlight. The fire is open on all side, creating a social place that is personal and meaningful. Food and drinks in homemade ceramics is also a highlight.
