Ask for rooms with windows

Clean basic hotel, with foot massager in each room as a bonus. There are no lifts so be prepared to carry your own luggage up to your room. The toilet is small, but the water pressure was good and instaneously and consistently hot.

Need an uplift of service quality

Pros: The security is good.
Cons: The service quality can be uplifted to present a better overall experience, e.g. training of the frontdesk staff and cleaners.
Location: There is a couple of restaurants nearby - chinese coffee shop, western food restaurant and a few bars.
Overall quality is ok - considering a budget hotel. The check-in experience was poor on 31st August 2017. I made a previous call requesting possible early check-in but was rejected. This is understandable since the staff mentioned the hotel was fully booked on the previous day. However, when I turned up at 1430 (normal check-in time 1400), I was told to wait due to the previous customer late check-out and lack of cleaners. The receptionist was polite and apologetic, still this should be dealt with more effectively by management knowing a fully booked period. There were others who came around the same time as I and were made to wait too. The room is clean and air conditioning is great. Security at the hotel is good. Wifi is free though a little slow. Only one parking is permanently reserved by the hotel and so it is on first come first serve basis for customers with cars. However, the street in front of the hotel has plenty of parking spots.
