Cheap, but not cheerful
Posted 22 Sep 2019 on HotelsOhana was a very affordable place to stay, but not the best place either. The building itself looks to be under some construction/maintenance, and the very dodgy lift took us all the way up to floor 26 for the reception. That looked great, and we were taken to our tool on floor 7. The room was spacious and looked clean, but there was a leak in the roof of the bathroom, and a light in our room which flickered on and off continuously. The outside pool did not look clean so we avoided using that, and the gymnasium looked about 10 years out of date. The equipment was sub par and unusable for the most part. Benefits? It is cheap as hell. But for the extra few pounds, I’d suggest choosing somewhere a little nicer.

why risk it?
Posted 21 Jun 2019 on HotelsBooked a private room. 5 private rooms in one unit, 2 bathrooms. Each private room was for 2 ppl. Yet, some rooms had extra ppl - 13 ppl to 2 bathrooms. Not enough dishware for everyone. old microwave works on one setting only. Food thieves, so leaving food in fridge is unreliable. Mgmts response, "everyone goes out to eat" - well you HAVE TO. Why even bother to advertise the kitchenette? the non-smoking rule is not enforced. The pool area is unsafe, the wooden deck is rotten, with broken boards. the gym can only be accessed through a separate office, Don't bother, basic malfunctioning equipment. Should have known, as when I asked mgmt upon check-in what gym hours were, I was told to use stairs to exercise. the main office is on 26th floor. Breakfast is just toast, with overly sweet fake jam, dubious butter and a thin creamy something (maybe peanut butter?) and two choices of cereal or "oatmeal" the milk (in a box) is warm on the counter . Wifi is super weak in units. Even at 6am with everyone else asleep, can't upload even 125kb photo. Mgnt says, use wifi in main lobby. inconvenient! Aside from the blantent lies about the pool/gym use/access, mgnt does nothing to monitor the behavior of other guests. No positing of rules in unit. Noisy parties at 2am, drunken housemates stumbling in at all hours. of the 3 lifts, one is broken. You need extra 10 minutes to leave & enter your unit due to slow/overcrowded lifts.sending photos of unsafe pool area to hotels.com vetting team.
