Easy enough to drive to from the airport in a quiet location. All major tourist things are easily accessible by car. Rooms are great. Meals are a bit dull an overpriced compared to what you can get in central Krakow. Staff are brilliant ... helpful and polite x

Nice, elegant, old fashioned.

Pros: Extremely nice and helpful staff.
Cons: Room refreshment may be needed. Air-condition would be nice.
Location: Quiet country life near historical city of Kraków
Elegant mansion, perfect for wedding party as well as city break. Do not take the upper floor room during hot weather!

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful location, with friendly and knowledgeable staff, great food........however hire a car as it is off the beaten track a bit, and public transport although cheap is not reliable.

Paszkowka Palace

A 45 minute drive from Kracow, on the route to Auschwitz. Not easy to find the first time, but ok for return trips. A lovely building, and some very good food (but with some disappointments). We paid a little extra for their best room category, and had a very large, lovely room. It was a good value, in a quiet setting. Having a car is a must..

Best hotel in the Krakow area

Posted 29 Jun 2010 on Hotels
I have been coming to Poland for more than 20 years, and though I have stayed in fancier hotels I have never had a better experience than at Paszkowka Palace. The service is unbelievable -- the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable in every way. The manager even drove us to a nearby bus stop in her own car when she learned that we had no other way to get there. I would definitely recommend that anyone staying here rent a car, because the bus service is not very good. However, even if you add in that expense, the Paszkowka Palace's rates are still a good deal. You'll end up with a larger room and a much more pleasant experience than in any of the downtown Krakow hotels, and you'll get to see some of the Polish countryside. Make sure to eat at the hotel restaurant a few times during your stay -- their food is wonderful, and the prices are very reasonable. My daughter has been asking me to try to reproduce their great Roquefort chicken at home, but so far I haven't succeeded. I've never submitted a hotel review before, but after staying a week at the Paszkowka Palace, I simply had to share my enthusiasm for this outstanding establishment. It will be my new home-away-from-home on every Krakow trip.

Paszkowka Palace

The hotel is located about 30 minutes away from Krakow. At first it was difficult to find it because it is in the middle of nowhere. I wish that there were better signs to direct you there. Upon my arrival (after a long drive from Austria), I was informed that it might be noisy in the hotel tonight as there was a "small" wedding party. Well, the party went on until 3:30AM and it was pretty loud in the room which was located directly above the party room. After the party was finished, there were people standing outside the window, smoking and talking loudly till 5AM. so, if you're looking for a peaceful night, I'd suggest another hotel, perhaps in Krakow.
