The location is good, but Chungking Mansion isn't the nicest place on Earth and can be a bit scary. The room itself tiny and a bit expensive for what you get, room cleanliness is bad, there's mold everywhere in the bathroom, old bedsheets and pillows. Overall the staff was pretty nice, also it never felt unsafe. Just an okay experience, borderline bad when it comes to cleanliness

The care taker was approachable and very hard working but the pictures of the room on the website are very misleading and far away from real.

Small

To stay on a budget by yourself, you probably will end up in Chungking mansion's.Very small rooms with no windows.Shower is above the toilet. The bed was comfortable enough for Hong Kong, shower worked well plenty of hot water.Aircon and WiFi, kept clean,it served a purpose. If you can afford double the price I would stay elsewhere, but on a budget, doe's the job.

It wasnt so bad after all despite all the reviews ive read upon booking. If youre not gonna spend your whole day in the room, then i dont see the problem in booking this guest house. Yes, it’s small but it has bed with clean sheets, air-conditioner and shower, basically all i need. Easy access to mtr station and the area is lively. We arrived and went home safe and sound.

One of the worst experiences of my life!!!

This has to be the dirtiest most dangerous accommodation I have ever paid for. Guest was located in the back alley where suspicious activity was taken place. Absolutely miserable conditions, the bed was dirty and sheets hasn't neen changed, no towels were provided small uncomfortable room. Prison conditions. I could go on and on. Horrible experience!!

Worth it.

Booked a family room for 4. It was clean, central, and the check in was quick. Staff was pleasant. Considering the price I paid, was entirely satisfied.

Pros: Absolutely Nothing!!!!
Cons: Start Over, Be Honest about the facility, train staff in good customer relations and interaction.
Location: The location is good in respect to, many things to do and see, Shopping, Restaurants, Transportation, and Tourist destinations.
Booked online, immediately tried to Cancel, thought that I had canceled, but never got any confirmation and found out, when got Visa Statement that they are trying to bill me for the full amount, as if I had stayed in this very very poor facility, where you feel as if your life is in danger from the minute that you arrive. When we arrive in Hong Kong, myself and my new wife went to this place to see if we wanted to stay at this Hotel. It fell far short of are expectations so we immediately left to find a suitable Hotel to stay in. The person at the check-in desk was not helpful at all, using the excuse that she could not understand English in a largely English speaking City of Hong Kong. We informed her that we would not be staying, this seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I will repeat Expedia is trying to bill me the full amount as if we had stayed at this poorly managed facility, that was far below what we were expecting to find. I tried repeatedly to deal with Expedia in the days to fallow expecting some kind of resolution, any and all attempts to talk to any of the Expedia staff, did not produce any results. This forced me to locate a travel agency that was able to help me with all of my other travel plans. Upon receiving my Visa statement I am now faced with trying to clear up all of the mistakes that Expedia Hong Kong, made in dealing with this matter. I am now safely back home in Canada, trying to deal with the same people that I could not deal with in Hong Kong.
