Bargain rate hotel in Kouvola

Didn't have too high expectations - too warm
Posted 23 Aug 2022 on HotelsWe didn't really have any high expectations but had it not been nearly 30C outside, I think we would've had a great stay. When it's not too hot outside and no fan is needed, I'm sure the rooms are good. The bed was comfy, and lots of space in the rooms and breakfast was good. The location was excellent as we were attending a wedding nearby. Nice to walk by the river.

Pros: The staff are very kind and friendly.
Cons: It could do with a bit of cosmetic updating but everything was in good working order.
Location: The hotel is pleasantly situated beside a lake but as we stayed during the winter there was not really an opportunity to see much of the local area.
The hotel is quite basic and no frills but it's clean and the beds were very comfortable.We were able to control the room heating was great as we Britons are not used to such cold temperatures! The staff are lovely and have a high standard of English. The breakfast was varied and catered for all tastes and the coffee was very strong indeed!
