Beautiful historic building, a fantastic restoration effort inside and out! Excellent European breakfast, best I have had since before Covid!

Overall, this is a fine property to spend a night or two in, but I would not recommend it for longer stays. The location is great and in a beautiful part of town. The breakfast service was lovely and well attended. I also liked the water pressure, which also ran nice and hot. Unfortunately, the hotel is older and not well refinished. My door was 1 meter from the elevator which made my stay very noisy with people coming and going, and I could hear every move my neighbors made—which means they could probably hear me too! I also had a very bad interaction the first day with the Hausmeister, who banged very loudly on my door and tried to enter my room while I was sleeping off some jet lag. Does he do this with everyone or only with single women who are placed close to the elevator? It was unsettling and the staff seemed to dismiss my concerns as his normal behavior. This place may be okay for families or single men and is honestly great for the price, though I won’t be returning.

Great place to stay! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great! It also provides free bus tickets.
