The staff are very friendly and it is located ideally in a central place but very quiet. Services were excellent so close to the Kokopo show ground so really enjoyed the stay with my family Highly recommend families and friends to come enjoy yor vacations here.

Did not like much . Property is cheaply constructed many things did not work or were broken. Staff themselves were nice but had no idea what service was all about just poorly trained .

I love the fact that the hotel sits on such an historic site, and provides such easy access to the Ralum Club and beautiful golf course.

Was in Rabaul for just the single night and was very comfortable at this hotel. Free airport transfer was a plus.

Nice Place, but No Elevator

Lovely hotel and restaurant, but lack of elevator and room on top floor was challenging. Absolutely not for old, slow or handicapped.

Comfortable Hotel

Posted 19 Jul 2016
Pros: It has everything that is expected including a swimming pool, access to local tours although they are not cheep.
Cons: Attention to maintenance,.(air conditioning, and bathroom, plugs)
Location: The Kokopo Museum has an interesting collection of WW2 relics, the local market in Kokopo, Rabaul and the Volcanic history. The Mask festival in July.
This is a comfortable Hotel that with good facilities, however a number of little things need attention, the air conditioning unit was noisy and the control somewhat erratic which resulted in a room change, the plug in the bathroom sink of both rooms was broken. The restaurant provided a good selection of meals ranging from pizzas to steaks. The complementary breakfast vouchers on arrival were appreciated and the breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly although they struggled in the restaurant when it was busy.

Gazelle International is the only place to stay

Posted 16 Sep 2014
Pros: The efficient and friendly staff were amazing and I would rate them as being the best in the world.
Cons: nothing. I cannot fault how wonderful this place was.
Location: There are markets within walking distance and a small war museum down the street. If you want to see more, you really need a vehicle or at least taxi.
My recent stay in Kokopo, PNG was made even more special thanks to the people at the Gazelle International. The friendly greeting started at the airport and they never failed to impress. Every member of staff was helpful, friendly and could not be any more obliging to all our needs. The facilities are fantastic, the food is sensational thanks to the Head Chef and his team of fabulous wait staff who were there to answer all our questions and helped with all our dining needs. The cleaning staff were amazing and went above and beyond any other place I have stayed. The front desk was always courteous and helped us with tours, travel arrangements and recommended some excellent sites to see. Thank you to Rodney, the Operations Manager and his team for making this a memorable stay.
