Beach resort in need of a face lift

The location is great, we stay every year for the Samui Regatta, right on the beach with a great pool. Accommodation is basic but adequate and good value as it is beach front Chawaeng. Service has gone down a bit over the years but it’s ok. Could be classified as “shabby-chic”.

Dear Michael, Thanks for the review. We perform regular maintenance. But it is not easy to overcome the weather by the sea. The sea water vapor causes the accommodation and facilities to deteriorate very quickly. However, we continue to make repairs in time to bright up the hotel. Best regards, Orrapa Resort Manager

Great location - absolute beachfront, beautiful. Beach on one side, great shopping on the other. Close to everything. Bungalow spacious. Private. Gardens superb. Pool and pool area amazing.

Did not like the stray animals with fleas sitting underneath the hotel's sun lounges. From around 7pm onwards there was very loud music from a nearby venue - could not sleep without earplugs. Hotel airport shuttle is excessively priced. Spacious room. Lovely grounds. Good breakfast - egg station, salad, fruit and yoghurt, cereal, toast and juices/coffee/tea. Great location - ON the beach on one side and access to shops and restaurants on the other.

We are located in the middle of the actions area of Chaweng so there can be noises from the clubs and bars on the street. However, our Premier Garden bungalows are located in the garden towards the beach and away from the noise. Please book accordingly. Suwan

Charming small resort, right on the beach.

Have been visiting this resort for many years and for me its the perfect green Oasis on the edge of the hustle and bustle of Chaweng. Two points for improvement: (1) The breakfast buffet is very basis and boring. Please add some Thai options and a more interesting fruit platter. And (2) please keep the bar open to at least after the sun has set. To close the bar at 6PM sharp (effectively no more service from 17:45) is just spoiling the fun...

great location

Pros: the location and the sun loungers with shade, the lovely garden, quite for good sleep
Cons: some of the staff are great but some need to improve
Location: beautiful part of Chaweng Beach, restaurants and shopping close
relaxed holiday: swimming, eating, reading my books lovely garden with trees and birds, etc. room was clean but all a bit old
