Ok so overall stay was calm and relaxing however, it is located on the very other side from the airport so it takes about an hr to get here as well as the main CBD area such as Fisherman's village. But if you are looking for smth quite and relaxing, this is the place to go. it felt very private and secluded but it does take a bit to get out of the resort area. We stayed at private pool villa which was wonderful, I dont think I can stay anywhere without the pool but my pool didn't had a night light so it was a bit eerie at night. But there is this one staff called 'Palm' and geez he made my experience from 5 stars to 3 stars. I asked him about the light, nothing happened. Ordered Pepperoni pizza but got Truffle pizza and I asked for noodles from the menu and he said its not available when I can see other people having it. I asked him two days in a row and he said no every time and when I asked other staff, they brooght it out right away. So I don't know if he had a problem with me but damn one staff can change your experience so bad.

Awful experience. 4 nights 4 different rooms. Had staff basically hold me hostage for 2 half days so I could prepare to move because beds work awful than moved me to room with no AC than to room that was 32 degrees cold and couldn’t turn off the Ac. Food not good. Awful awful awful. I should be provided a refund given how pathetic their service and property is.

Great for a couple to be away from everything.Property is clean, pool and gym are well maintained, staff are courteous and try their best to make your stay comfortable. The beach is like a lake & you can walk 3-500 meters into the water and only comes up to your waste. Yes you can hike in the ocean if you wanted. You may want to rent a scooter to get into a village nearby - which is 350 bhts per 24 hours. I did not use the spa, but it looked calm and quiet (& hidden) from outside. It's a boutique type property w modern aesthetic.

Just love this hotel, small,, friendly and private pool. Breakfast was excellent, as was dinner, however we found several local restaurants within walking distance for a change of scene.

Relax and Recharge at Avani Samui

Staff were very attentive, great pools and a lovely breakfast. Rooms above reception could be noisy unfortunately, very easy to hear noise from adjacent rooms via the interconnecting door.
