Nice place, bad restaurant staff

Although I didn’t realize this was a wellness retreat prior to booking , I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the breakfast was complementary and delicious, and the rooms were well equipped with a safe deposit box, a mini fridge, toiletries, and air-conditioning. I also really appreciated the complementary use of a KAYAK during my stay . My only complaint about this place is the staff in the restaurant. The service was extremely slow, even when I was the only customer, and they were not particularly friendly or accommodating. The first meal I had there was a salad, that was supposed to come with certain ingredients on it (ie. pistachios and avocado) and when the salad arrived it did not contain the ingredients listed on the menu. When I said something to my waitress , She looked confused and just said that they no longer carry those items. I also found a spider in the same salad towards the end of my meal, and there were no apologies or discounts given. I thought that was a poor response. Otherwise the juices and smoothies that I had were delicious, but the food was very overrated and the service was not the best. With that being said the rest of the staff at the resort was extremely friendly and accommodating, including the taxi driver Moo and his wife the receptionist. I also had an extremely enjoyable massage in the spa. The location of the resort Is not very conveniently located so you will need a car or scooter to get around.

Clean, decent price...grounds not well kept. Chairs broken, grass not cut.
Restaurant over priced. Pools small. Beach massage great. Some trash on beach.

Good hotel on nice beach location

Pros: Very nice terrace restaurant overlooking beach with very good breakfast buffet. Rooms set amongst very nice gardens. Free welcome pack on arrival.
Cons: Hotel is slightly dated but all functional and maintained.
Location: Didn't stay long enough to fully explore but white sand beach on door step is great.
Very nice hotel located directly on the beach. Two pools, direct access to beach, very good breakfast buffet and helpful staff - what more do you need. Unfortunately, our itinerary meant only a single night stay and we were honestly sad to leave without having more chance to enjoy.

Lipa lovely is lovely indeed

Very good Thai food is served at the restaurant as well as 2 local restaurants within walking distance. I visited this part of Samui because I was taking the ferry to the mainland, however, I am willing to consider staying in the area during my next longer visit. By the way, they packed me a breakfast to take away the next morning. Very nice

The best of both worlds: Lovely Lipa & Orion
Posted 31 Jan 2018 on HotelsLipa Lovely is a great resort if you are looking for a place to relax. The area of the hotel is shared with Orion Retreat centre, which means there is a lovely vegan/raw restaurant next to the Lipa Lovely restaurant. This means that it was possible to combine super healthy meals with our relaxed week at the beach. Even better: I could order my #health meals at the orion restaurant, while my partner orderd the pizza from the Lipa menu. The perfect combination for all couples!

Staff could have been more attentive in dining area. Bathrooms need more attention to detail.On the whole lovely quite resort away from crowds we we the only hotel guests most of the time .

Beachfront with fab view
Posted 14 Apr 2017 on HotelsLovely room, staff mostly very friendly and good breakfast. Restaurant was not all that though unfortunately, also a shame that you have to pay to play pool whereas nowhere else charges (hotel or bar-wise)

Great beach-side hotel
Posted 13 Apr 2017This is a great hotel for the price. Spacious, beach facing one-room villas that were perfect for a couple with a toddler. There are a few eating options around, but the restaurant on the property is excellent with plenty of options and great Thai food. This area of the island is quiet, but a great option if that's what you're looking for.
