Enjoyed our stay , within walking distance to beaches and cafes. An attraction to booking this property had been the mention of yoga classes but these weren’t available during our stay .Comfortable and clean. Water station available for filling up our water bottles was a bonus

Very welcoming place

Posted 4 Dec 2017
Pros: This place is a real boutique place - the rooms are very spacious and furnished with a mix of antiques and modern pieces.
Location: Perfect place to explore the island - you can easily walk to everywhere: beaches, minimarkets, restaurants and massage places.
During check-in I got a very detailed introduction about what I can do on Koh Mak and how I can go around easily. The staff was very friendlly and made me feel comfortable right away. My suite was spacious, clean and had everything I needed for my stay. I loved to hang out at the pool after coming back from the beach.

Comfy rooms and great staff. Convenient Location

Posted 29 Oct 2017
Pros: Location and staff. Beautiful rooms.
Cons: Breakfast.
Location: Peaceful island, not many tourists and good people. Koh Kood is nearby and easy to travel to.
Very characheristic suite with great view. The staff. Mr. Biek have been very helpful and nice. It is not right at the beach, but you can walk within a few minutes to different beautiful beaches. Breakfast was simple, but ok and enough.

Do not recommend

Posted 13 May 2017
Pros: The one person staff who ran the front office was kind, just overworked.
Cons: See my first comments.
Location: It is a ways to the beach, maybe a 12 minute walk down a huge hill, so if you are looking for beachfront, this isn't it.
The water from the sink, toilet and shower was muddy and apparently had been for a long time given the stains on the porcelain (see pics). There was no bed sheet, but two half covers for each person, akin to a large towel (see pic). Once the cleaning staff did not clean the room, although a call to the management remedied that. They failed to remove the used towels at that time however. One day the cleaning staff failed to re-provision the coffee packets. There was no electrical outlet for the coffee pot anywhere close to where it set, it had to be carried across the room to be used. The front office is only staffed by one person, who often has to be away from the desk. The fresh flowers on day one was wilted by day three (see pic). That wasn't a big deal, but if you are going to put real flowers in the room, then keep them fresh.

Dear Guest, we are very sorry you did not like our resort. Thank you for showing us the the picture of some dried flowers (Van Gaugh). The pictures of the sink and WC indicateds the iron of the deep well water. Fortunatelly we now have new fresh and super clean water. We will always prefer fresh flowers over plastic features. So no thanks for this advice. Kind regards your Management.

Our apartment was very large with a balcony including a hammock. The resort is located up a little hill, but you can reach the „main road“ within 5 mins. It’s a very quiet place and a breeze cooks down the room so we never had to use the aircondition, but only the fan. Mr. Peak, the manager, is a very helpful and friendly person. You always get fresh coffee (from Chian Mai) for only 30 Baht. He also rents scooters.
