A lovely gem in the Bavarian crown.
Posted 23 Jul 2019 on HotelsWe had a very warm welcome at Gasthof Krone. The formalities didn't take long and were immediately followed by a glass of local larger on the house. It was all the more pleasant given that the staff were happy to speak English to us. The meal at the restaurant was a good-quality home-made selection of local specialities. The home-made pasta is deffinitely worth a try.
Kinding is a very small town with quite a few things to offer. The local church and the adjacent graveyard are worth a good look and a few pictures. Very atmospheric at night...
I'd love to go back and spend a couple of days exploring the town and the country side more thoroughly. A lovely place with a very homely feel to it!

Posted 13 Dec 2017 on HotelsExcellent overnight stopping place, in a charming old village less than a mile from the A9. Clean and comfortable with very welcoming hosts. Large restaurant and bar on the ground floor of this traditional gasthaus.

We booked this room after being delayed on the A3 coming from Munich. What a cozy and comfortable place nestled in the foothills! Staff were friendly, and the food was excellent in the tavern.

Posted 13 Jan 2017 on HotelsHandicaped accessibly rooms across the street from main building, some improvement needed (shower seat, toilet too low; preheating the rooms & closing open windows during sub-zero weather would be nice, too..). Owners friendly, manager not so much. English spoken, you just have to speak very sloooowww. Upcharge for handicaped accessible rooms in newly renovated building, regular rooms in original part of hotel have sqeaky carpeted wood floor. Rooms, bed & bathroom (in room) very clean. tiny piece of soap provide above sink, TV and WLAN work nicely in main hotel. Breakfast good, A la carte food excellent. Nonsmoking rooms, ashtrays on terrace & outside of restaurant provided.
