Small cabins made for a great break from the hotel nights and was only a few minutes away from downtown and from My Rushmore

Beautiful views. Clean cabins. Close to a ton of fun activities for families and for couples. Easy check in and check out. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

The staff was extremely friendly. We actually got an upgrade from the duplex to the historical cabin. Good location to Custer State Park.
Remember to bring cooking/eating utensils and papertowels, if you bring your own little grill or food. There is a microwave and refrigerator.

We enjoyed our stay at Holy Smoke. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation.

Cozy cabins. Beautiful views. Really close to Keystone if that’s where most of your attractions are for your trip. One thing to note: the WiFi was a bit spotty. If you plan to do some work here and there then bring a personal hotspot. But other than that, loved my stay!

Thanks for the great review. To address the wifi, we have a small phone company that supplies the wifi. They are protected in this area so we are unable to get different services.

Everything was so dated in the room. Very strong smell was in the room even after opening windows. Bedding was not fresh .wash clothes were ripped. No bedside outlets . Rest room did not have exhaust fan.

Hello Navroop,There is a bucket in the room with old washcloths in it. those are rags for your use to clean up coffee spills, wipe your windshield etc. They are not washcloths to be used for other purposes. I know that I explained those when I checked you in. Any odor I have checked and cannot find what you spoke of. The only smell I found was of pine from the trees in the forest. Our bedding is old western style. These are log cabins in western theme. Our bedding is not old. If you wanted the modern look then you should have booked a motel room not a log cabin. For anyone reading this review, please look at all our other reviews.

The authentic log cabin was clean and cozy. We enjoyed Black Hills Playhouse in Custer State Park and had a very nice dinner at The Powder House restaurant.
