Basic hotel with dated but clean rooms. Noisy if you have a floor above you. Staff were polite and greeted us with a to-the-point check-in. Parking was an additional fee.

You have to be realistic about these things. Staying in a 200 year old building with 60 other guests, peak season, unfortunately you will get some noise, thats hotels all over the world. Using our car park is not compulsory, other options are available, If you are happy to pay your travel agent 20% commission for booking the room, why not pay the hotel a couple of quid to park the hire car.

The hotel was in a good location if you want to go into the wonderful town of Keswick. Parking is £6 for the night unless you book direct. The room was clean and airy, the floors are a bit creaky but so are a lot of old hotels. The staff were great from check in, breakfast and check out. Breakfast was really tasty, with a good range of food on offer.
