The property is very clean. Right now there is a new hotel going in next door, the hotel can get very loud in the day when the construction is going on.

My husband and I staying here on May 25th checked out on May 26th to visit friends in their houseboat. I left my grandmothers necklace in my room when we checked out. I realized this 20 minutes after check out so I called the hotel and turned around to head back there to go back to our room to retrieve it. While driving I called the front desk the women told me I was good that housekeeping hasn’t been in there yet but she would put me on hold to check for me. When she came back she said she found nothing. That was impossible. I left it on the dining table in our suite. We searched the room and nothing was found. 4 hours later we get a call from the front desk saying my necklace was found. I was so happy my husband went into the hotel to be handed the sapphire pendent only. No white gold chain. This was a thick chain and there is no way you would locate just the pendent. I was destroyed by how awful people can be to each other. Especially knowing it was my grandmothers who passed away. Basically I tipped the staff member off to my jewelry the moment I called and she offered to go look for it. She pocketed it and decided to give back the pendent only I guess her conscious got the best of her. That’s my story at the days inn. Also to make matters worse we had to take the back of the toilet to flush it because the handle was faulty. Front desk said they didn’t want to. Other is by fixing it while we were made no sense. They clearly hire people with no moral compass. Thank you

I am sorry to read your review Teresa and to know you immediately assumed our staff were not trustworthy. We have an extremely customer focused and dedicated team who for the past 9 years has returned wallets and many valuable personal lost and found items immediately. As I explained to your husband the pendant was found on the lobby floor not in your room. There could have been many scenarios as to where the chain could have gone, perhaps broken, and I am sad that the only option you considered was staff stealing it. I advised your husband that if the chain is found we will certainly contact you immediately just as we did when we found the pendant. I do hope that it turns up for you as this is a very special item of yours. The front desk agent who was working the night of your stay did repair the toilet, I am happy he was on shift with the knowledge of how to fix it for you. Take care, CandaceGeneral Manager
