Probably the worst hotel we have stayed in. Main issue was the cleanliness, hopefully i can add photos to this review to show the state on the Bedding, looked like the sheets hadnt been washed since someone deficated on them!!! As for the smell in the room, what looked like someone died on the carpets and the food looking like it had been out for days! If we could have moved hotels that evening we would have, but it was late when we arrived. Staff response to the state of the rooms...."well it's one of our nicest rooms...." but it doesnt matter if its so dirty! Anyway, we checked out the next day rather than staying for the 3 nights booked. The general manager said "he understood and that we should apply for the refund of the 2 unused nights through Expedia and that he would sort it out at his end. The team at Expedia were very helpful but guess what, refund rejected. Having now tried twice to contact Radisson directly with no response we decided to do this review. Having had an amazing stay at the Radisson Red in Cape Town recently, it is not the chain, but i think a management change in Kandy would help! One final word of warning, the TukTuk driver in the smart white outfit who hangs around the hotel and is friends with the luggage guy at the hotel should be barred. He is aggressive, threatens you when you just want to walk to the Lake, threatens taxi drivers! Beware. I dont like giving these kinds of reviews but needs doing to save other travellers.

We wanted to highlight the issue regarding the bed sheets, we regret any inconvenience caused by the stains you encountered, and we assure you that this matter was promptly addressed by changing the linen as soon as it was brought to our attention. After receiving a complaint, the General Manager & concern management inspected the bed sheets and confirmed that they were not contaminated with any bodily waste.However, we also want to clarify that, according to our records and interactions with you during your stay, the stained bed sheets were the only concern raised by you. At no point during your departure did you indicate any other dissatisfaction beyond this issue. Management was informed that the stained bed sheets were the reason for your departure, and we acted swiftly to resolve it.It appears that you were keen to venture further into Sri Lanka beyond Kandy and quoted stained bed sheets as the reason for shortening your stay with us. A beautiful hotel overlooking the city and lake in Kandy. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. A nice rooftop bar to relax before a peaceful quiet sleep.

Rooms smells very bad, food is not worth for the price you paid, towels and bed seats are not clean house keeping is not done there job, we end up fixing the shower faucets,air condition was in repairs.

Great Hotel

We enjoyed our stay here. The only thing that was disappointing was… I thought breakfast was included. It wasn’t until I went to check out that I found out it wasn’t when an additional $30.00 USD was charged to my credit card.

Great location overlooking the lake in Kandy, with views of the Tooth Temple. Extremely comfortable room. Rooftop bar and pool were wonderful. We were excellently looked after by the team at the Radisson and would highly recommend this accommodation.
