The hotel was beautiful, an old colonial atmosphere in a very comfortable setting, with great views of Kalimpong. Staff were very attentive and the Indian food in the restaurant was excellent. This was our second visit to the hotel, which we fully recommend and look forward to returning for future trips.

Perfectly fine hotel. Breakfast / dinner was okay, not great. Nothing significant to complain about, but also nothing to rave and compliment about either. The WiFi was slow (not unusual in a relatively remote area). Hot showers are only available morning and evenings to save water. They claim to charge for doing laundry in the room, but the hotel laundry machine was broken.

Posted 5 Jun 2014 on HotelsWe stayed for 4 days at the hotel between 29th May to 2nd June,2014. Excellent location, close to the market and local taxi stand. Comfortable rooms with quaint, old world, British colonial charm. Nice patios in the garden outside, to put up your feet and enjoy a cup of tea with a lovely view of the hills in front of you. Frequent powercuts in Kalimpong, but instant hotel generator back up ensured no problems with power supply. Food - we opted for breakfast and dinner included plan - very wholesome breakfast & good dinner service at the Silver restaurant. Hotel staff were very helpful. Overall, enjoyed our stay tremendously!
