The property needs some upkeeping. interior and furniture in room are outdated and need some updating.

Great location, hotel is old, but well maintained. Rooms are small but fine and clean.
Parking was not free, it is 500 yen.
It is in the center, so many options for dining and shopping within walking distance.

Great Alt ski hotel
Posted 18 Mar 2021 on HotelsVery convenient hotel in the center of downtown Takada with many restaurant choices nearby. Within 1/2 hour from some ski resorts or the coast on the north, Clean rooms and great cost performance.

That was good and confortable to access. (The shower curtain smelled a little though) I think it is the best hotel around that area.

Could not connect to wifi during entire stay. Staff was not helpful.

Great location
Posted 7 May 2019 on HotelsVery cute train station only short 2blocks away from hotel. Lots of cute shops along the way to Takada Castle area. AND there is a LAWSONS across the street... very convenient!

Pleasant
Posted 24 Sep 2018Hotel is in a great location, only 3 minutes' walk from Takada station, right beside the main shopping street, with a convenience store right across the road. Reception was friendly and some can speak and understand English. Room felt smaller than it was, because of how things are arranged - my wife and I kept getting in each other's way. Beds and pillows are a bit too soft for me. But overall it was a pleasant stay and I won't mind staying here again.
