Nice hotel, amazing beach.

Friendly staff, nice food, clean room. Beach is amazing. Really good to have snorkelling off the beach and a dive club on site. ots of activities on offer when the red flags are out on the beach (and you can’t snorkel).

The suite was roomy and well sound-proofed, and the beds were really comfortable. No annoying music on the beach and no kids, so you can really relax. If you stay less than 7 days you can't book the à la carte restaurants and you'll have to eat at the buffet, which is actually better than we expected. Attentive medical staff is available 24/7. Transport to/from airport will cost you around 60-70 CUC each way.

A couple of small things

Your over all properties were beautiful. Nothing to improve on. Your staff are awesome too. Two things happened that were disappointing. I went to see a Dr there. He was fantastic and got m issues looked after.I needed some extra pesos to pay him. He could not charge his fee to my room. So I went to the front desk to purchase some pesos but they said they couldn't sell me pesos (very strange) She arranged for a taxi into to town so I could go to a banking machine. It cost 30 pesos return. If you have a resort in the middle of no where you should be able to provide currency exchange. On my exit your front desk arranged a taxi for me. As we started our journey I said to the taxi "why are we going west when Varadero is to the east. He showed me his dispatch and the front desk had told him to take me to Havana airport. He was awesome and said no problem we will get you there as quick as we can. Great driver. Had I not been paying attention this mistake would have cost me over a $1000 Canadian. Flying out of Havana to Toronto is about 4 times more expensive. I would have lost my paid for flight out of Varadero and had to buy a flight out of Havana. Get cash from your feecredit card is not possible at the resort but I can understand why the Dr. didn´t charge your fee to your room. We really enjoyed the service in general, however, the service at check-in could be improved. We have never stayed in Memories before, an explanation of the available service and facilitairs would have been nice. Check-out time was not mentioned and no luggage service to room was offered. Also, it is not easy to get bottles of water. We got 1 per day, for 2 persons. When asking for a refill/new bottle, this was not possible. We hardly drink softdrinks or alcohol, mostly water. This should be made available more easily. Finally the fan speed of the airconditioning could be regulated in the livingroom, but not in the bedroom. It was pretty noisy, being able to adjust the fan speed would have been nice. Overall we really enjoyed our stay; room was very clean, good food and excellent service.
