Very thin walls. Could basically hear every word our neighbors said. Seems weird to be paying that much for such a loud hotel... Otherwise felt safe and things were clean and tidy. The front desk seemed pretty stuck up and rude but we managed.

The exterior of the place was nice and the outdoor areas were really well done. But you can clearly see interior rooms they tried to update and it just feels old and dingy. Ice machine didn’t work and staff at check in was just clueless.

A must visit! Staff is grsat room very clean and up dated. The pool and hot tubs AND fireputs a must do. Just loved the place

It is extremely overpriced for what you get. Shower head was falling out of the wall, no pressure. No door on the shower so it was cold as hell to use. All the "extras" are not included in your fees, and in fact, you get charged an exorbitant resort fee on top of their advertized rates. (Watch that fine print!) No included food. A burger is $20. They offer smores roasting in the courtyard... for another fee. Its a very old facility that claims upgrades, but from what i can see, it was paint alone. Ir certainly wasnt the beds or soundproofing walls. (Could hear quiet conversations through the walls if i didn't keep the TV up, and you hear every car on the road.) It also wasnt the lights. I had to turn on my phone's light to see well enough to read or do my hair.
Skip this place. If you want a resort, go to one of the nicer ones that at least offer you something nice while calling themselves a resort. Or go with a motel 6. At least theu give you free breakfast.

We are sorry that we weren't a good match for your sensibilities. It was obvious by your treatment of our friendly Front Desk agent that you were upset that you hadn't noticed the resort fee which is clearly stated when booking via Expedia. We know that The Virginian offers a great value in the resort town of Jackson where everything comes at a premium. Also, the property completed a complete, comprehensive renovation in 2023 while carefully preserving our rich history (all furnishings including beds are brand new), our classic Betty Burger is 13 and s'mores are complimentary nightly. We never like for a guest to leave unsatisfied & we hate that is the case with you.

Great experience. Clean, friendly and fun welcoming outdoor experience in the courtyard. Firepits, smores, live music great conversations with other guests.
