Budget hotel with poor facilities
Posted 29 Jul 2015 on HotelsFrom the reviews, this looks like a great place. Reviews can be misleading!
No doubt, the security is excellent with fingerprint access only to the hotel - which is great once you are checked in. But BANG LOUDLY on the gate when you first arrive otherwise you'll be sleeping in the car park. The rooms are very small and extremely cheaply furnished.Everything in the room is minimalist, one towel each, soap not refilled on service, trash only cleared if you ask. There is no airconditioning and they will not provide fans, so it is stifilingly hot until 2-3 in the morning. The wifi is extremely patchy and only really works near the reception. The pool however is first class although a little cold even in hot weather. It takes about 10 minutes to drive into Cuenca (free parking at the top of the old town).

A crazy and annoying couple dressed in a weird way and asking for impossible things as warm up the swimming pools water. They started to pray at 5 pm in the morning with a Torá and the head covered. Never seen such as uncomfortable persons

We found the staff to be absolutely charming, equally the location, secluded and tranquil. The accommodation, self-catering, is very comfortable and impeccably clean. There are a few practicalities about finding the place. By putting the post code into the GPS, you are taken to a point from where it is still unclear where to find it, albeit not far, so signs from the stone pillars would be very helpful. When you arrive, it's likely to be necessary to phone and the number provided on the booking website is no longer applicable. If such things as these could be sorted, it would be of immense help - though I appreciate that the phone number situation is not necessarily the fault of the hotel. We have already gone back for a second stay and intend to return, as we think it's a terrific place to stay.

Great suite away from noise of the city
Posted 26 May 2014 on HotelsLovely cabins, clean, well-equipped for a short stay, large rooms, only downside was wifi does not work in the cabins as they are too far from the main complex, also they have wood-burning fireplaces so smelled a bit smoky. Pool was closed for maintenance during our stay due to poor weather but looked like it would be great for a hot day! Staff was helpful and pleasant. Parking was great, secure, on-site and easily accommodated our large car.

Fun and comfortable family stay
Posted 9 Jul 2012
Pros: The grounds and activities available for families.
Cons: The beds were a little hard.
Location: Great wooded location near Cuenca.
The rural house that we stayed in was great. Two bedrooms, super clean, and all the amenities needed. The staff was attentive and very friendly. The beds were a little on the hard side but overall, everything was comfortable, good shape and clean. I highly recommend staying in these two bedroom cottages at Hotel Rural Arco Iris if traveling with children. There's everything there to keep everyone having fun and relaxed. There is a playground, bar, games, pool, catering, tennis court, its great!
